Just A Child (Poem)

You’re just a child who’s not lived long,

Though just a child, you’ve done some wrong.

You’re just a child, who needs to know,

God sent His Son who loved you so.

       nativity

God sent His Son, Jesus His name,

But as a babe, to earth He came.

He grew up strong. He grew up wise.

He grew in favor in men’s eyes.

Then Jesus grew to be a man. Jesus blessing children

He knew His Father had a plan.

He loved the sinners, healed the sick,

Made dead to live, but ‘twas no trick.

Then evil men sought Him to kill.

They did not know it was God’s will

That on a cross He was to die,

For sinful ones to justify.

He then was laid in tomb so cold.

A heavy stone in front was rolled,

But in three days to life He came,

The Risen Lord now is His name.

                                   Jesus ascending

So little one with heart not pure,

Of this one thing you can be sure:

Jesus will take your sins away,

If you’ll just claim His name today.                                                 girl praying
